Fletcher Capstan Table – How it works

| January 23, 2015

I came across a video showing this table in action many years ago.  I was fascinated by the engineering that went into it as well as the cost.  These table cost thousands of dollars (upwards of $50,000) and are usually found in the homes and yachts of the rich and famous.  I came across this video today that shows in greater detail just how it works.  You can see just how much engineering has gone into it.  It was originally patented in the 1800s but with the age of computers and CNC machines, its been greatly improved on.   Click the link for the video.
