JIBO, The world’s first family robot.

Dr. Cynthia Breazeal a robotics pioneer from MIT has created a family robot named JIBO.  It looks to be highly interactive, with the ability to understand common language.  It can be a video conferencing tool, photographer, story teller and overall personal assistant.  Dr. Breazeal has launched a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo to make the family robot a reality.  Hit the link to see the Indiegogo page and video.
